For us at Horda Stans contributing to a sustainable, future world is a natural part in all we do. We always strive to be at the forefront in selection of materials and transports, maintaining our facilities and to be as effective as possible in use of materials and recycling.
We have been environmentally certified according to ISO 14001 since 2000 and today we are also certified according to the FSC® standard.
At Horda Stans we are convinced that it is the constant development of a more sustainable production that is our success story today and will continue to be the success story of our future. We have modern and well adapted facilities, we only use electricity from renewable energy sources and we use ground source heat pumps to keep warm. We always try to reduce our emissions of carbon dioxide to a minimum.
Today we manufacture lots of products using recycled materials, such as PET bottles, paper, hemp, wool and polyester. Many of our products can be recycled again and we even send left-overs from our production back to our providers who can use them again in their manufacturing of our raw-materials.
We do also use alternative fuels in our company cars such as renewable diesel HVO100 and follow the development of alternative and more sustainable vehicles closely.
